Looking back 2007 was a varried year. Record breaking rain cancelled an unprecidented number of skates though numbers were up in the 300 mark for most of the skates we did do. As well as the regular Wednesday nights we also took the system out on a few special events. There was the Pride march (in the pouring rain) Hovis Freewheel cycle event with the Thumper Crew, LFNS's Firebrox and Sam Valiants Beatrix all hooked up and Thames festival, again with Thumper and the LFNS. As well as that the system went off with some crazy skaters dressed as robots to promote some product and stick some funds under the collective matress. Of course the Santa Skate was a raging sucsess and we had a howl on the Halloween skate.
It was an up and down year for the system itself. ASBOX III prooved loud enough but a tad heavey for all but the strongest skaters and showed a tendency to destroy sealed lead acid batteries. With an upgraded amp the Bassfrieght was kicking until we overdischarged the new 90ah SLA on the Pride march and it never quite recovered. That said the bike, the sound and the ASBOX's still did a brilliant job up to the last skate and beyond.
Looking forward in ot 2008 the skate and the sound will be going from strength to strength. The skate has a new website londonskate.com and the sound will be undergoing a fulland hopefully final re-build. MKIII is on the way.
